I can remember as a child how exciting it was to ride on the ferry. As an adult that pretty much hasn't changed...only now as an adult we have to pay the $45 to ride.
It was a quiet ride for the most part, from the intense faces below you can see the kids were engrossed in a good movie for the first part of our day trip.

First photo taken with the 70-200mm, I love the dof on that one, but looks a tad soft. Settings... f4, 1/400 iso 160. Focal lenght was 200mm.

Nice storyboard! Love the on-deck shot--I can smell the briny air and feel the breeze. Nothing like a ferry ride, even at that cost.

LOL, looks like a good movie to me :) I love hoping on a ferry for the day, such a great getaway, but your right, the ferry fares are a little steep!

I'm glad I backed up and re-read your post - I tend to glance down at the pics first then read (imagine what I thought when I saw the video watching expression on your kids - holy cow batman - intense ferry ride!) I rather like your first shot and don't feel it is too soft.
